This Privacy Policy explains how the American Friends of IDF Widows and Orphans Organization (“American Friends of IDFWO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards Personal Data and Non-Personal Data on www.AmericanIDFWO.com, mobile websites, microsites, mobile applications, American Friends of IDFWO accounts on American Friends of IDFWO social media sites, online newsletters, and any other digital services and properties officially operated or used by American Friends of IDFWO from time to time (“Sites”), as well as by phone or by paper.

Please note that if you do opt-out of receiving marketing-related messages from us, we may still send you important administrative messages. We reserve the right, from time to time, to contact former customers or users of the Services for administrative purposes or in order to comply with applicable laws, rules or regulations.

Our processing of your data is based upon your consent, contract performance (e.g., your purchase of membership sign-up/renewal, products, or services), legitimate business interest (e.g., direct marketing of goods or services), or compliance with law. You have the right to object to our processing of your data or to restrict our processing of your data. If you have consented to the processing of your Personal Data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
9. California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended, requires us to provide California residents with the following additional information.

American Friends of IDFWO does not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information except to provide you with the Sites or as otherwise permitted under the CCPA.
You may exercise your rights to access, delete, or correct your Personal Data. When you make a request to us, we will ask you certain questions in order to verify your identity. You may also make a rights request using an authorized agent. If you submit a rights request from an authorized agent who does not provide a valid power of attorney, we may ask the authorized agent to provide proof that you gave the agent signed permission to submit the request to exercise rights on your behalf. In the absence of a valid power of attorney, we may require that you verify your own identity directly with us or confirm to us that you otherwise provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. American Friends of IDFWO does not knowingly collect or maintain Personal Data from or market to persons under age 13 without verifiable parental consent. If American Friends of IDFWO learns that it collects or has maintained Personal Data from persons under age 13 without parental consent, then American Friends of IDFWO will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. 11. How We Protect Personal Data
American Friends of IDFWO implements commercially reasonable security measures to help protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. Except for membership directories, membership lists and registration lists, and the sharing of information as set forth in this Privacy Policy, we restrict access to Personal Data to certain individuals and/or companies that need the data to operate, develop, or improve our services. These individuals and/or partner businesses are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

13. Social Media and Third-Party Platforms
Certain sections or functionalities on our Sites may permit you to share information on third party social media sites or platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, or other similar sites (collectively, “Social Media Platforms”). American Friends of IDFWO does not own or control such Social Media Platforms, and posting your information on Social Media Platforms is subject to the third party’s Privacy Policy and other legal terms, which may not provide privacy protections with which you agree. American Friends of IDFWO is not responsible for any act or omission of any Social Media Platforms, nor are we responsible for the consequences of your choosing to share your information on Social Media Sites.
14. How You Can Access, Change, and Delete Your Data
We rely on you to update and correct your Personal Data. If you are a user of our Sites, you may be able to review, update, and correct your information directly on American Friends of IDFWO’s website or by contacting us using the information provided in the “Contact Information” section below. Typically, we retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. 18. Right to Complain to Supervisory Authority
